Joel has been the pastor of Liberty Baptist Church [www.libertybaptistchurch.ws] for 8 years. During that time, Liberty has experienced great growth – even to the point of having to relocate. The church is in the process of doing that now.

He is married to his beautiful childhood sweetheart, Sherry, and they have 2 girls. Savana is in college and  Mikayla is 15.

Joel is currently finishing up his Masters in Leadership at Liberty University. He serves on the Administrative and the Executive Committee of the Georgia Baptist Convention. He is the chairman of the Nominating Committee of the GBC.  And, he is a Sunday School trainer for the Georgia Baptist Convention.

His love is preaching but one of his specialties in the ministry is Time Management for the pastor. He has become something of an expert at it. He and his evangelist friend, Scott Smith, have a website and podcast that is devoted to Preaching Effectiveness and Time Management for those in ministry. Check it out at www.sermonators.com
